Also joining in this summer transfer saga is Stephan El Shaarawy after impressing in the Italian Serie A with mid table club Milan. Along with Jesus Navas, he will provide pace and power down the wings and will be a nightmare for any Full backs in the league this year.

On their way out is the injury struck Alvaro Negredo, despite impressing earlier on with the club. He has now returned to Spain to play for FC Barcelona B after being rejected by the first team. Samir Nasri, the former Arsenal man, is also on his way out to AS Monaco, a club, bought by billionaire owners from Russia last season. It is thought that this Frenchman will be greatly missed by Manchester City, but only time will tell whether or not the risk of bringing in his replacement Stephan El Shaarawy will pay off
